Long answer: below.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>What You Need to Know:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Midjourney v7 delivers <strong>significantly improved prompt following<\/strong> \u2014 less &#8220;prompt drift&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Image quality at <strong>higher resolution is noticeably cleaner<\/strong>, especially for complex scenes<\/li>\n<li>New <strong>style tuning system<\/strong> lets you lock in consistent aesthetics across images<\/li>\n<li>Generation speed is <strong>2-3x faster<\/strong> than v6 for standard quality settings<\/li>\n<li>v7 costs the same as v6 for subscribers \u2014 <strong>no price change<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2>What Actually Changed<\/h2>\n<p>The headline improvement is prompt following. v6 was good at understanding prompts, but v7 is noticeably better at actually doing what you ask for rather than what it thinks you meant. If you need precise text overlay or image-embedded words, v7 is better than v6 but still not reliable. For that use case, Adobe Firefly or Flux still have the edge.<\/p>\n<p>Photorealism is improved but still has that &#8220;AI look&#8221; in edge cases \u2014 particularly with hands, reflections, and complex lighting scenarios.
